Logo Sketches

Many people ask how a logo begins. This is the first step to designing a logo.

First, you come up with a concept, then you derive imagery from your concept. In this case, the business is a pediatric office that wants a whale as their character personality. There are 3 sketches that emerge from this one idea and from these, 1 will be chosen to define the function of the business.

We will keep you updated as we move forward with this project and give you a front seat view of the rest of the process.

Dosher Brochure Imagery

In affiliation with one of our commercial photographers, we shot Dosher Memorial Hospital imagery this month. We are in the process of editing, cropping and retouching the photographs but are expecting great things for this project. The brochure's concept, layout and typography are unusual and exciting, and we are delighted to have imagery to match its quality.

This image shows the new MRI machine in the new Dosher complex, which was implemented last summer.

This ad campaign for the Chamber of Commerce encourages residents to enjoy the beaches. The food, attractions and relaxing setting are often the selling-point for our area!

Yoga Center to open in Wilmington

Ground of Being, a center featuring physical and meditative yogas, will open a new facility in Wilmington, NC. Ann Vitale has spent much of her career as a professional dancer and yoga instructor in NYC and has now relocated to the Carolinas. The center will feature yoga courses, dance instruction, meditative weekends getaways, acupuncture and massage.

An event providing funding for scholarships for Brunswick Community College, Dancing with the Brunswick Stars is bound to be a huge success. Last year, the event and its volunteers raised many thousands of dollars in the name of education, and we hope participation will be just as enthusiastic this year. Foundation to Aid Research for Alcoholism & Drug Addiction









One of Designatorium's charitable interests is to help the suffering alcoholic and addict through a number of different organizations and methods.

We have designed an extensive branding system as well as communications collateral for the Willingway Foundation. The Willingway Foundation, founded in 1977, is an organization that lends expertise to the seemingly insurmountable task of closing the gap in the knowledge and understanding of addictive illness in the medical and education communities. Brochure Design stimulates growth in the healthcare sector

Progress on Dosher Memorial Hospital's general marketing brochure and presentation folder has been successful. Soon after the final professional photo shoot, adding the finishing touches and sending it to print, the 12-page brochure will be making its debut. Please contact us for a sample. It is a well-designed piece that will represent the hospital and new medical plaza in a very positive light for years to come.

NC Wine & Food Weekend


Bald Head Island is hosting the 2009 North Carolina Wine & Food Weekend where they will feature wine and food from all over the state of North Carolina. There will be barbeque, seafood, gourmet entreés and all types of signature North Carolina cuisine.

Designatorium created this poster to entice visitors from across the country to attend the weekend. Artist Susan Dade's fantastic seaside picnic brings this event to life.

The event will be held Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2009 at various outlets on the island, such as Shoals Club, Harbourside Pavilion and River Pilot Café.

It is sure to be a great time!
